I just had cataract surgery on both eyes. A friend gave me a pair of the Sawfly sun/safety glasses. I am impressed! After wearing corrective glasses for 60 years, and being very nearsighted, the correction required a good pair of sunglasses. These are very comfortable and stylish to boot. You have a fan. I will recommend these to everybody!
Just wanted to drop a line and let your company know how impressed I am with the Sawfly glasses. I've owned a pair for over 7 years and they are part of my everyday carry. I don't leave the house without them. Not only do I use them as my regular sunglasses; they serve as safety glasses throughout my day. I work as a career firefighter and am no longer in emergency operations, but I work in our logistics center repairing and maintaining equipment. Again, I'm just super impressed with the durability and practicality of the glasses.

We came to a small hall way maybe 2 meters wide and 6 meters deep, and at both ends there was a porch, so we went down and at the end our 4th guy stepped on a no metal IED…The 3 guys that went before him were all wounded, and the 4th was killed. I was the 5th, properly standing 2-3 meters from the explosion, and was thrown about 2-3 meters back, and had injuries on my left and right arm, my right leg, and the left side of my face. If I hadn't worn my Revision glasses, I would have lost my left eye. I had stitches all the way up to my left eye, and just under my eye it stopped. You could see exactly where my glasses had been, because I had wounds all the way around my eyes except were my glasses and helmet had been.

That blast was so strong it threw me around like no tomorrow… It looked like a star cluster of 300 little dim light bulbs flying out of this huge cloud of smoke going up into the sky and draping off like the leaves of a weeping willow tree… It’s funny how one little piece of plastic can keep you in the fight for another month or the rest of your life…

I would like to say thank you to those who make and sell Revision military eye protection. Upon a patrol in Baghdad my stryker was hit by an IED. I sustained some lacerations to the face from fragmentation and the military Revision eye protection saved my eyes from certain blindness. I again thank you, the makers of this great product.

I am 1LT A. A., an Infantry Platoon Leader assigned to B Company, Task Force 2-1 Infantry, 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, currently deployed to Mosul, Iraq in Support of OIF. Our patrol was struck by a massive IED on 28FEB2006, launching shrapnel and debris at high velocities toward the vehicle. I was thrown into the hull of the Stryker and later discovered that my eye-pro, the 'Sawfly' tinted lenses, prevented a shard of shrapnel from contacting my face, saving my eyesight and preventing serious injury. I have attached images of the IED, the eye protection I was wearing on site, and images of the eyewear with the shrapnel. The shrapnel punctured the lens, but did not penetrate. The shrapnel was large enough to dislodge the eyewear from my face and force me into the vehicle. I wore the glasses the rest of the patrol, confident they could still do the job. I now have them stored until I get home. I purchased the Sawfly Deluxe Kit for wear, and whenever someone asks what I was wearing, I am sure to tell them that I was wearing 'Revision'. Thank you for a great tactical product!
